Admission Essay Seminar
With eight hours of live instruction and ongoing feedback included, the College Admission Essay Seminar is our most popular choice for students applying to college.
This purpose-built, intensive writing seminar will enable students to brainstorm, draft, and revise their admission essays into polished work ready for submission. In each of the four sessions, students will read and discuss mentor texts, implement personal narrative writing strategies, and complete individualized work plans based on actual application prompts. Receiving professional editing in the form of one-on-one conferencing and written feedback, students will emerge from the seminar proud of writing stories only they can tell. Enrollment is limited to nine students.
This comprehensive service includes:
Eight hours of live instruction with our founder (four two-hour seminar sessions)
Seven hours of individualized document review with our founder ($2,030 worth of tutoring!). One 60-minute document review session after each seminar session, plus three additional document review sessions following the conclusion of the seminar, ensure students receive consistent editing support throughout the fall.
Access to four targeted personal narrative writing lessons
Supervised and scaffolded drafting time with private conferences during each session
Individualized assignments and seven rounds of personalized written feedback
